The Discovery

After a tense period of searching, it was revealed that the boys had taken themselves to an initiation school.

Due to cultural differences, the principal of the school denied initiation for Jasmin De Beer.

Thapelo Khumalo, however, will stay at the school until his graduation in August.

The Cost of Safety

Jasmin’s father, a Divisional Manager at Pick n Pay Johannesburg Stores, is now facing the cost of R10,000 for his son’s stay at the initiation school.

Additionally, he must pay the R50,000 reward to the individual who provided the crucial information about their whereabouts.

With the boys found safe, their families are preparing for a celebration to welcome them back home.

UPDATE: Jasmin’s father, Mark De Beer, had offered a R50,000 reward for information. Upon finding them, he paid the reward and a R10,000 fine to the school for Jasmin’s unauthorized presence.

Jasmin made history as the first uninitiated boy to spend a night at the initiation school.
