“Twice as Bold” is a famous show on Mzansi Magic featuring the infamous Siko twins, Owami and Olwethu, on their quest to find one husband.

The twins gained notoriety after their appearance on Moja Love’s “Dloz’lami” in October 2021, where they were advised by their late grandmother to embrace individuality. However, they have chosen to ignore this advice and continue their quest together.

Ignoring Wise Counsel

During their consultation with Thembi Nyathi on “Dloz’lami,” their grandmother emphasized the importance of individuality, acknowledging that she hadn’t raised them to be independent.

Remember the Siko Twins from Dloz’lami? They Decided Not to Listen to Sis Thembi

The twins were advised to start living their own lives, but they have clearly not embraced this idea, as they continue to dress alike and pursue the same goals.

Social Media Reactions

Social media users remembered the twins’ initial meeting with Thembi and expressed their frustration with the twins’ decision to ignore the advice.

One user wrote, “So these twins decided to blue tick the underground gang after what Sis Thembi said on Dloz’lami #TwiceAsBold.”

Another commented, “It’s either Owami and Olwethu were not listening to Thembi on Dloz’lami or this reality show was shot before that #TwiceAsBold.”

A final user remarked, “Gogo is probably crying because they didn’t even want to listen to Sis Thembi #TwiceAsBold.”

Personal Thoughts

It’s baffling that after such a heartfelt session with Thembi Nyathi, the twins decided not to follow through on any of the advice given.

Their fixation on the idea of marrying one man and their inability to function independently of one another is concerning.

They often repeat the phrase “one soul, two bodies,” but it seems like there’s no depth beyond that.

I hope there’s more content and growth in their journey, but I remain skeptical.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
