Lerato Kganyago has deactivated her Twitter account following severe cyberbullying after she voiced support for Miss South Africa finalist Chidinma Adetshina.
In a viral video, Lerato read out the cruel comments she received and named the women who bullied her. The video sparked mixed reactions; while some viewers condemned the bullies, others made fun of Lerato.
“This was heartbreaking to watch. We should do better as women. It’s okay to have different opinions, but it’s not okay to be mean,” one user tweeted.
Another user expressed sadness, noting, “Fertility issues are a sensitive topic, and it’s shocking that women can say such hurtful things to each other over an unrelated argument.”
A less sympathetic user commented, “Not the friend fake crying.”

This was really heartbreaking to watch, we should do better as women, saying such things to other women is absolutely uncalled for. It’s okay to have different views/opinions, it’s just not okay to be mean.
