Controversial South African rapper Shebeshxt is grappling with immense grief after the tragic loss of his nine-year-old daughter.
The heartbreaking incident occurred on June 8, when Shebeshxt was involved in a serious car crash on his way to a gig.
The accident left him with severe injuries, while his partner, Kholofelo Moloto, sustained moderate to serious injuries. Tragically, their young daughter did not survive the crash.
Since returning to social media on July 21, Shebeshxt has opened up about his pain and expressed deep gratitude to his followers for their unwavering support.
“The pain of losing my daughter is something I carry with me every day,” he shared. “I try to be strong, but every night I cry myself to sleep. She may not be here physically, but I know she is with me spiritually… my Angel, Onthatile, my daughter, my life.”
Despite the overwhelming grief, Shebeshxt is preparing for a return to the stage. He is scheduled to host a concert titled My Music, My Story at the Opera Theatre in Pretoria on September 28.
According to his lawyer, Lot Rammusi, they are awaiting approval from his medical team before proceeding.
“The show will be about Shebeshxt sharing his story and experiences. He’s still undergoing physiotherapy and psychological therapy, but he’s recovering well. The event will feature a full orchestra, but I can’t reveal too much as it would spoil the surprise,” Rammusi explained.
The team is cautious about Shebeshxt’s mental health, but he remains positive and eager to return to what he loves—performing on stage.
