There is an outcry among many South Africans, including celebrity Sizwe Dhlomo, about the latest development regarding the popular soapie, Muvhango.

Muvhango to Return with Repeat Episodes

After 27 years and 25 seasons, Muvhango will no longer be in production.

According to News24, SABC acting executive Mmoni Seapolelo confirmed that they will replay Muvhango from Season 1 to celebrate 30 years of democracy in 2024.

She said:

Muvhango is the first Tshivenda television drama and has given South African citizens who have not travelled to Venda an opportunity to have a closer look at one of the most beautiful places in the country.

“The episodes aim to celebrate the success that Muvhango has brought to the SABC and South African citizens. Being on air for 27 years is a massive milestone and reflects the remarkable talent of the cast, crew and management team of this production,” continued Seapolelo.
