Toya Delazy has expressed regret over collaborating with Cassper Nyovest on the song “My City.”
Despite the song being a favorite among some of her fans, the London-based artist stirred controversy by revealing on X that she wished she had worked with AKA instead.
“Yeah, waste of a good song. I could have got AKA, but I was young and wasn’t thinking, should have followed Sony’s direction with this one. My heart was too big, and I gave a chance to a vile person. But I’m glad you dig it,” Toya wrote.
The exact reason for her regret and Cassper’s offense remains unclear, but Toya has publicly stated that she has forgiven him.

“I forgive him. I spoke to my Uber driver who gave me a lesson in forgiveness. I forgive him, and I forgive myself for letting it happen to me. I will never get an apology; the forgiveness is for me, to heal. I’m learning a very hard lesson in forgiveness, but I surrender to the universe,” she shared.
Toya Delazy’s reflections highlight the complexities of her past choices in the music industry and her journey towards personal healing and forgiveness.
