Pearl Thusi is standing up against the cyberbullying and hate directed at Chidinma Adetshina due to her participation in Miss South Africa 2024.
Over 11,000 South Africans have signed a petition to remove Chidinma from the competition because of her mixed roots, with her father being Nigerian.
In a video, the veteran actress expressed that the 23-year-old deserves to compete in the pageant as she became a South African citizen the moment she was born in South Africa.
Pearl Thusi compared the situation to a man in France who was not acknowledged as French until he saved a baby.
Thusi’s support adds to a growing list of celebrities, including Rouge, Prince Kaybee, Nota Baloyi, Rolene Strauss, and DJ Sbu, who endorse Chidinma.
They all believe the young model should have the opportunity to compete without facing discrimination.
