DJ Sbu, real name Sbusiso Leope, humbly apologized after defending Miss SA finalist Chidinma Adetshina.
This came after the Department of Home Affairs revealed that Chidinma’s mother might have committed fraud and identity theft.
The investigation results angered many South Africans, including those who had supported the model.
DJ Sbu addressed the public on Radio 2000, apologizing for his previous statements in support of Miss SA and asking for the law to take its course.
“I’ve never been arrogant at all. I advocate for young people’s success and dreams. I humble myself as the law is taking its course. Anybody I might have offended with my comments on social media regarding the Miss SA matter, I would like to apologize. I am also a South African, and I love seeing young people achieve great things,” he said.
“If the law has been broken, let the law take its course. To anyone I’ve offended, I apologize,” DJ Sbu added.
