Burna Boy has spoken out about the Miss South Africa 2024 competition, which has captured the attention of many Nigerians due to the involvement and subsequent withdrawal of finalist Chidinma Vanessa Adetshina.

Chidinma, who made it to the finals, withdrew after facing intense bullying and after a fraud case involving her mother surfaced.

Her Nigerian heritage, particularly her Nigerian father, led to widespread backlash from some South Africans.

While the controversy quieted down after her exit, social media reignited on Saturday night when Mia Le Roux was announced as the winner of Miss South Africa 2024.

The news quickly went viral, with Mia receiving widespread celebration.

However, Nigerians criticized South Africans for allegedly bullying a Black contestant out of the competition to crown a white winner.

Nigerian Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, who has had past tensions with South Africa, weighed in on the situation. Taking to Twitter, he commented, “So after all that…,” followed by laughing emojis.
