South African rapper Da L.E.S suffered a stroke last Friday and has been hospitalized. Over the weekend, the rap star announced that he would miss his birthday celebration due to his health condition.
The 39-year-old rapper’s family shared a statement on Sunday, detailing the stroke he experienced at home.
“The family of renowned South African musician Da L.E.S is deeply saddened to inform the public that he suffered a stroke at home on Friday, 26 July 2024, and has been hospitalized,” the statement read.
Da L.E.S’ family reassured fans that updates on his health would be provided and expressed their gratitude for the support.
“While he is in stable condition, this remains a challenging time for his loved ones. The family asks the public to keep him in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult period. Updates on Da L.E.S’ condition will be provided as they become available. Thank you for your continued support.”
